Prior to using Gypsum we used straw and found that foot bathing on a regular basis failed to eliminate a digital dermatitis problem. Following the introduction of Gypsum as a bedding material the rates of digital dermatitis have dramatically reduced and we found that the need for foot bathing is no longer necessary.
